Broach earns top-10 finish as Tigers' young lineup gains valuable experience against Class 6A competition.

NORMAN, Okla. — The Norman High School girls golf team opened its fall tournament schedule October 5 at the Southmoore Invitational, held at Westwood Golf Course in Norman. With a roster featuring a mix of experienced upperclassmen and promising newcomers, the Tigers took to the course for their first tournament of the season against a competitive field of Class 6A programs.

Senior Brooklyn Broach led Norman with a standout performance, carding an 83 (+12) to finish seventh overall. Broach's top-10 finish highlighted the Tigers' season opener, providing an early example of veteran leadership for a lineup featuring several golfers beginning their high school careers.

Joining Broach were senior Zoey Wood and juniors Emma Sepulveda, giving Norman three upperclassmen in the field. Their experience provides an important foundation for a team working to develop its younger players and build consistency throughout the season.

Freshmen Avery Braden, Campbell Tiffany, Eden Torrice and Annie Mowrey each gained valuable tournament experience, competing alongside more seasoned golfers from across Class 6A. For these newcomers, the Southmoore Invitational offered an opportunity to become familiar with the pace, expectations and competitive atmosphere of high school tournament golf.

Broach's top-10 showing provided the opening-day highlight, while the Tigers' young roster gained valuable competitive experience to carry into the remainder of the fall season and their pursuit of a strong spring campaign.
